New English Lit Tours

Brand new for 2018 – an exclusive offer to participate in a free English Literature battlefields tour.

An English teacher and two students from each participating secondary school will travel with colleagues and peers from other schools across England on a four day tour of key locations associated with the poetry, novels and plays of the First World War.

‘I have been lucky enough to participate in several battlefield tours but this was by far the most effective. The combination of literature and history provided an extremely rich and valuable experience that will be treasured.' Teacher feedback, Oct 2017

The inaugural tour departed on Friday 27th October 2017 and was a great success! Further departures are scheduled for Spring 2018. The groups will stay for three nights in good quality school hotel accommodation on the outskirts of Ypres in Belgium.

All state-funded secondary schools who have not previously taken part on our FREE programme are eligible to travel. These very special tours are likely to be in high demand, so early registration is strongly advised.
